Celebrating Harrow Warm Hubs 2022/23
The winter of 2022/23 was extremely challenging for many across Harrow – hit by soaring energy prices, high inflation and freezing temperatures that went on long into spring.
Funded by the Harrow Borough Based Partnership, Harrow Giving supported the establishment of 41 warm hubs across the borough, accessed by 3700 people and run by 200 volunteers.
And, in addition to warmth, many of the hubs also provided hot meals, exercise classes, health services and – something which visitors tell us was hugely valued – friendly faces and a place to meet and make friends.
It was an incredible achievement – a brilliant example of what can be achieved when the community pulls together.
