Harrow Steel work with young people aged 9-14 to develop their self-confidence, self-esteem and musicianship skills through playing Steel Pans. The funding has been used to give opportunities to young people of Harrow who wish to engage in the playing of steel pans. They welcome young people from Harrow’s diverse population.

Being a part of Harrow Steel has given me a musical family in which I can be confident in expressing my musical ideas whilst being supported by my peers or, One of the many reasons I’m still playing in the band is that it brings a sense of togetherness- we all share a love and passion for our music, and we aim to share our joy and energy with the audience when we perform.
