Harrow Giving Coronavirus Fund

A joint fund has been created from public donations being received through the Harrow Coronavirus Community Fund and Harrow Council.

The emergency fund, Information, Advice & Befriending Fund and Bereavement Fund is being paused to new applications. 

20th May 2020 Update

Harrow Giving is pleased to announce that it will be administering the Edward Harvist Trust  Funding. Please see guidance below. 

Funding Available:

– Emergency response to the crisis (paused)

– Information, Advice and Befriending (paused)

– Bereavement Care (paused)

– Edward Harvist Trust (open)

Emergency Response (paused)

We are looking for projects that can help people now, so will welcome applications for existing projects that could be scaled up, extended with extra money, or projects that are currently being set up. 

Funding available: £2,000 – £5,000 per organisation

Advice, Information and Befriending Fund (paused)

This fund is focusing on information, advice and befriending of the most vulnerable in the community.

Funding available: We are looking at average grants of around £10,000 to £20,000 but will consider grants up to £30,000 in exceptional circumstances. Please note, depending on demands organisations may not receive the full amount requested.

Time period: This funding is focusing on 4 – 6 months activities. This will be reviewed over time.

Bereavement Care (paused)

This fund is focusing on support to those who have been bereaved due to Coronavirus.

Funding available: We are looking at average grants of up £10,000 but will consider larger grants in exceptional circumstances. Please note, depending on demands organisations may not receive the full amount requested.

Time period: This funding is focusing on 4 – 6 months activities. This will be reviewed over time.

Edward Harvist Trust (open)

The grants can only be used for either:

 – one off revenue One off (one off revenue costs are to do with a specific project, but no ongoing costs – e.g. renting a premise for a fixed period to deliver a specific activity, but not ongoing rental costs) or

 – capital costs. (capital costs are defined as tangible assets that last more than one year and will not normally include items below £100.)

Funding available: A maximum of £2,000 

Time period: The grant money must be spent within 6 months of receipt of funding.

For the Edward Harvist Trust there are 2 deadlines:

 – Round 1: 10am Thursday 4th June

 – Round 2: 10am Thursday 2nd July
